TECHNICAL

Vice President for Research and Development
 
Plans and directs all of the company's corporate R&D activities and manages the El Paso, Texas research center.  Will lead a highly technical team of physicists and engineers to develop revolutionary avionics and remote sensing capabilities.  Responsibilities will include identifying new program opportunities; writing, submitting and winning proposals; developing new business opportunities; growing the corporate customer base; and establishing strategic alliances with potential partners. Job location is El Paso, Texas.  Reports to the President.
     Required: Must have demonstrated successful technical leadership and management of teams conducting basic and applied research, as well as successful management of technology and avionics development contracts.  Technical background in electro-optics, physics or avionics required, as well as track record of positive interaction with government agencies.  At least 10 years professional research and development experience.  Excellent written, communication and presentation skills required. 
     Preferred:  Successful management of a Profit and Loss business center.  Formal business training or courses.  Familiarity with federal and defense acquisition regulations.  Additional coursework or experience in scientific or engineering discipline(s) such as remote sensing, avionics, communications, electro-optics, quantum physics, or others.

Quantum Information Physicist  Responsible for helping lead and grow a research and development team in Texas. Focus will be the use of quantum physics to increase data rates of communications systems.  Responsible for developing and applying quantum theories to advanced imaging, communications and remote sensing techniques. Will develop and supervise laboratory experiment(s) of quantum processes critical to implementation of techniques. Ph.D. in physics required.  Knowledge or experience with optical, laser and/or microwave electromagnetic field propagation through atmospheric turbulence highly desirable.  Submit resume

Optical Coherence Physicist  Responsible for helping lead and grow a research and development team in Texas.  Focus will be the use of optical coherence properties to improve image quality.  Responsible for developing and applying optical/electromagnetic coherence theories to advanced imaging, communications and remote sensing techniques.  Will develop and supervise laboratory experiment(s) of optical coherence processes critical to implementation of techniques.  Ph.D. in physics required.  Knowledge or experience with optical, laser and/or microwave electromagnetic field propagation through atmospheric turbulence highly desirable.  Submit resume
 
Mechanical Engineer - Lead  As a member of an integrated corporate research and development team, successful candidate will develop vibration models and minimize effects of vibration on electro-optic MEMS and nanotechnology sensors to be used on UAVs.  Responsible for the design of mechanical subsystems for electro-optical avionics, as well as the integration of avionics with UAV platforms.  Experience designing, leading fabrication and integration of mechanical mounts, vibration isolation and MEMS subsystems for electro-optical sensors on aircraft and/or satellites required.  MEMS experience and knowledge of nanotechnology required.  Nanotechnology experience preferred.  M.S. in mechanical engineering required.  Submit resume

Thermal Infrared Optical Scientist/Engineer  Will lead the design and test of miniature thermal infrared sensors and imagers.  Successful candidate will be highly experienced in thermal infrared imaging spectroscopy physics and techniques.  Experience designing, leading fabrication and integration of electro-optics with MEMS and electrical subsystems for electro-optical sensors on aircraft and/or satellites required.  MEMS experience and knowledge of nanotechnology required.  Nanotechnology experience preferred.  M.S. in Optical Physics required.  Ph.D. in optical physics preferred.  Submit resume

Program Manager: Electro-Optical Avionics  Successful candidate will be highly experienced leading military aircraft electro-optical avionics research and development hardware programs.  Experience working with unmanned aerial vehicle sensors preferred.  Job location is St. Marys, Georgia.  Submit resume

Chief Scientist / Engineer  Successful candidate must be a specialist in aerial remote sensing, radiometry, spectroscopy and detection.  Ph.D. required.  Experience with military applications and C41SR preferred.  Submit resume

Avionics Electronics Design Engineer  Successful candidate will lead the selection, design, procurement and/or build of avionics integrated circuitry including focal plane array digital cameras, ROIC, MEMS command and control, and video data processing.  Experience in design, procurement and/or build of avionics integrated circuitry required.  Previous UAV experience preferred.  Submit resume

Digital Signal Processing Engineer  Successful candidate will support the selection, design and build of digital signal processing circuity including embedded video programming, ROIC, command and control logic, and video post-processing.  Previous avionics experience preferred.  Submit resume

Mechanical Engineer  Experience with avionics electro-optical hardware design, fabrication and tolerance testing; as well as with vibration analysis, lab QC testing, MILSPEC, aircraft integration and flight test support required.  Experience working with unmanned aerial vehicles preferred.  Submit resume

Lead Computer Systems Engineer  Successful candidate must be experienced in the design, fabrication and test of computer systems for command and control of digital communications and data I/O interfaces.  Experience with video data acqusition and processing, establishment of software requirements, design and test required.  Experience with ground control systems for flight avionics highly desirable.  Submit resume

Computer Software Engineer/Programmer  Must have experience with design, programming and test of computer software for video, I/O data acquisition and data processing and analysis.  Experience using MATLAB or other scientific/technical software required.  Experience with ground control systems for flight avionics highly desirable.  Submit resume

Electro-optics Technician [Lead]  Successful candidate will lead the fabrication of electro-optical avionics payloads, laboratory testing, and integration onto aircraft.  Will support flight tests.  Experience with electro-optical avionics payloads, and working in a laboratory setting required.  Experience with unmanned aerial vehicle sensors preferred.  Submit resume

Electronics Technician  Working under the direction of the Lead Electro-optics Technican, successful candidate will support the building and laboratory testing of electro-optical avionics payloads and its integration onto aircraft.  Will support flight tests.  Experience working with electro-optical avionics payloads and working in a laboratory setting required.  Experience with unmanned aerial vehicle sensors preferred.  Submit resume
